The Symposium will take place at our historical site of Telegrafenberg (The Albert Einstein Science Park), Potsdam Germany (http://www.aip.de/en/institute/locations/transport/telegrafenberg). This is a historic hill in Potsdam that once housed the main Prussian observatories. On this site, you can still find the 19th century refractor as well as the famed and architecturally revered “Einstein Tower” designed by E. Mendelsohn.


By Car
From Berlin take B1 from Berlin-Wannsee or the motorway “Autobahn” A115 to Hannover/Leipzig, Exit Potsdam-Babelsberg; follow the signs to “Zentrum” or “Landtag” and “GeoForschungsZentrum”.

From Hannover or Leipzig on motorway “Autobahn A110/E30”, take exit “Potsdam-Süd/Michendorf” to Potsdam follow the B2 northbound, turn right at “Am Brauhausberg” till “Albert-Einstein-Straße”

From Hamburg or Rostock on motorway “A10/E55”, take exit “Marquardt” to Potsdam along B273, follow in Potsdam the signs to “Zentrum” and “Landtag” to “Albert-Einstein-Straße”.


By Public Transport

Departure Ostbahnhof / Berlin-Hauptbahnhof / Zoologischer Garten:
Regionalexpress RE1 (direction: Magdeburg, Hauptbahnhof) or Regionalbahn RB21 (direction: Potsdam, Golm Bhf)
destination Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof.

Departure Rathaus Steglitz:
S-Bahn S1 (direction: Potsdam Hbf)

From Potsdam Main Station:
take the bus line 691 to GFZ Campus on Telegrafenberg. Or take the footpath (duration circa 15 minutes).

Departure Tegel Airport (TXL):
take the bus X9 (destination: Zoologischer Garten) or the Regionalbahn RE1 (direction: Magdeburg Hbf) or RB21 (direction: Potsdam, Golm Bhf)
destination Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof.

Departure Schönefeld Airport (SXF):
take the Regionalbahn RB22 (direction: Friedrichstr Bhf / Potsdam Hbf),
destination Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof.
